Bombay HC transfers con case against IAS officer to senior police officers

An IAS officer and his wife are being investigated for allegedly cheating a builder and others out of Rs 5.77 crore. The Bombay High Court has transferred the case to senior officials of the crime branch due to the involvement of the senior IAS officer. The couple is accused of promising to double investments in a slum rehabilitation project. The IAS officer used his government connections to gain the trust of investors, but they never received any returns or their principal amount.
