Thai government may extend visa exemption beyond 6 months if tourism grows

IndiaTimes Monday, 13 November 2023
Indian tourists traveling to Thailand on visa-on-arrival were pleasantly surprised to learn that they could enter visa-free until May 10 next year. The first batch of tourists received a warm welcome at the airport from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) governor and the Indian ambassador. The visa exemption scheme allows for a 30-day stay, and TAT expects to see 1.6 million Indian tourists in 2023, generating significant revenue. The simplified immigration process has made the arrival experience faster and easier for Indian tourists.
