Karnataka doctor who allegedly performed around 900 illegal abortions arrested

Bengaluru Police arrest doctor and lab technician for conducting 900 unauthorized abortions. Dr. Chandan Ballal and Nisar charged Rs 30,000 for each procedure in Mysuru hospital. Earlier, hospital manager Meena and receptionist Rizma Khan were arrested. Police also dismantled a sex-determination and female foeticide racket in Mandya. Two suspects, Shivalinge Gowda and Nayan Kumar, were apprehended while transporting a pregnant woman for an abortion. Investigations ongoing to apprehend other individuals involved in the racket.
