Stubble burning incidents lowest in Haryana in 3 years

Haryana and Punjab, two NCR states, have recorded a significant decrease in farm fires this year compared to previous years. The number of farm fires in Haryana has decreased by 37% compared to 2022, 67% compared to 2021, and 45% compared to 2020. Punjab also saw a similar trend with a 26% decrease compared to 2022, 48% decrease compared to 2021, and 55% decrease compared to 2020. The decrease in farm fires is attributed to the efforts being taken to deter stubble burning and the adoption of newer technologies by farmers.
