IndiaTimes Wednesday, 6 December 2023
Terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir have significantly decreased this year compared to previous years, with 41 incidents reported until November 15. This decline can be attributed to the government's zero tolerance policy against terrorism and its efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem. The number of encounters and casualties has also decreased, with 44 encounters and 13 civilian deaths recorded in 2023. The number of security force personnel martyred in the line of duty has also decreased, with 20 personnel killed this year.
