Pay double for parking in Connaught Place, nearby areas

The New Delhi Municipal Council has doubled the parking rates at 91 parking lots in Connaught Place and neighboring areas. The new rate of Rs 40 per hour for four wheelers has been imposed under the anti-pollution guidelines. The rates will remain in force until January 31 next year. In addition to the parking lots managed by NDMC, the rates will also be applicable to the parking lots managed by Neptune India Limited. Traders have expressed their discontent with the rate hike, stating that they were not consulted before its implementation.
