The couple, originally from Bihar's Gaya, sold the infant to the main agent or buyer, who was nabbed in Narendrapur. The rescued child has been handed over to her mother, Neelam Kumari, and investigations are ongoing to identify everyone involved and establish the money trail. The motive behind the sale, which could be for slavery, prostitution, or childless couple adoption, is being probed.
