Parliament security breach probe is on, opposition should cooperate, says government
Friday, 15 December 2023 Parliament remains disrupted for a second day over a security breach. The opposition MPs continue their protest, demanding a statement from home minister Amit Shah and a discussion in both Houses. Parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi assures that a high-level probe is ongoing into the incident. Joshi emphasizes the importance of debate and discussion, as bills are scheduled for consideration. Joshi also highlights that both Parliament buildings are under the purview of the Lok Sabha Speaker, who is overseeing the situation. The opposition is accused of politicizing the issue and the probe report is awaited before any action is taken.

Rishi Sunak has reassured the public following a major data breach at the Ministry of Defence, which impacted a third-party payroll system.
