42-year-old Gujarati man from Nadiad shot at in US, dies

Ujas Mengar, a senior product manager at Volvo trucks in Greensboro, North Carolina, was shot at and killed by miscreants near his house. The attack was motivated by loot, as the miscreants had followed him home. Mengar tried to resist and a scuffle ensued, but he was shot and the attackers fled. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Mengar, originally from Nadiad in Kheda district, had moved to the US a decade ago and had permanent citizenship. In a similar incident, Satyen Naik, an NRG from Sonwadi village, was shot dead by a squatter in Newport, North Carolina. Naik was trying to confront the intruder when he was fired upon and killed.
