Congress plans to limit scope of Rythu Bandhu
Friday, 22 December 2023
Amid speculation about potential restrictions on land extent for eligibility in the 'Rythu Bharosa' scheme, the Congress' version of the BRS' 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme in Telangana, the government is reportedly considering two reasonable restrictions. These considerations include excluding land not under cultivation from the scheme and limiting the benefits to only those residing in the state. The current cycle will continue with the existing system, and no immediate changes are expected. This was considered by BRS government too, but it later decided to not implement it.
