LG directs officials to come up with time-bound plan for unauthorised colonies regularisation
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena directed officials to come up with a time-bound plan for the regularisation of unauthorised colonies. The process needs to be made simple and hassle-free. The National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) 2023 were recently passed by the Parliament. Saxena stressed the need for a concrete plan of action for registration and verification of unauthorised colonies. He also instructed officials to identify alternate sites for rehabilitation. The entire plan should be implemented within a month and completed by 2026.
