CPM not to attend Ram Temple opening, politicisation of religious event, says Brinda Karat

CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat announced that her party will not attend the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22. Karat stated that her party does not support the combination of religion and politics and opposes the politicization of religious events. She emphasized the need to separate politics and religion and criticized the use of religion as a political weapon. Karat clarified that her party is not boycotting the event but believes that using a religious function for political purposes is inappropriate.
