MVA slams Maharashtra government over handing over of Mahanand Dairy to Gujarat based NDDB
Wednesday, 3 January 2024 The Maha Vikas Aghadi criticized the Shinde-Fadnavis government for handing over Mahanand Dairy to the NDDB. Mahanand Dairy, a state government undertaking, has faced difficulties in milk collection and distribution, resulting in mounting losses. The Shiv Sena MP expressed concern over the loss of the dairy's glory and its takeover by NDDB. Efforts to take Mahanand to Gujarat, similar to Amul in Gujarat or Nandini in Karnataka, are underway. The fate of around 600 employees may be uncertain due to the NDDB's limited capacity to accommodate them.
