Wednesday, 3 January 2024 The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted raids across 31 locations in Rajasthan and Haryana and arrested an accused in the case relating to the daylight murder of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi in Jaipur last month. With the arrest of Ashok Kumar, associated with gangster and co-accused Rohit Godara, the total arrests in the case have gone up to nine. The NIA took over the case from the Rajasthan police on December 11. NIA claimed that the questioning of Ashok Kumar exposed his suspicious role in the case as well as his association with Godara.

Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
