IndiaTimes Wednesday, 3 January 2024
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal skipped his appearance before the agency for the third time on Wednesday in connection with the investigation into the excise policy case. He cited his preoccupation with the Rajya Sabha elections in the national capital and his busy schedule overseeing preparations for Republic Day. "Similar notices without any specific details have been held illegal and quashed by courts," he said while asking the agency to send him a questionnaire if it required any information/documents.

LS Polls 2024: Congress manifesto launch | Priyanka Gandhi, Kharge slam BJP, Modi | Oneindia News

Top Congress leaders, including the party president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Sonia Gandhi, held a rally in Jaipur on Saturday, April 6, to publicly launch its election manifesto 'Nyay Patra'. The Jaipur public rally comes a day after the Congress released its manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls promising a legal guarantee for MSP, and passing a constitutional amendment to raise the 50 per cent cap on reservations for SCs, STs and OBCs among others. The release of the manifesto 'Nyay Patra' was announced by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, expressing happiness and pride in her mother Sonia Gandhi's presence in Rajasthan after becoming a member of the Rajya Sabha. Unemployment, claimed to be at its peak, was criticised, with allegations made against the BJP and Modi government for failing to address the issue adequately. The Agniveer scheme, accused of shattering people's hopes, was mentioned, along with concerns raised about leaked papers in various states and the ongoing protests by farmers, suggesting that PM Modi is unwilling to heed their grievances.
