State government denies allegations of physical and mental abuse at the Children’s Aid Society run Home for Mentally Deficient Children in Mankhurd, responding to a PIL by Abhishek Tiwari. The government states that the allegations are false and unsupported by evidence. The Kurla metropolitan magistrate regularly visits the home and no incidents have been reported. Various committees and the police have found nothing. Social worker Asmita Pednekar's complaint was not substantiated, and the National Child Rights Commission has accepted a committee's report without further action. The court will examine the implementation of the Juvenile Justice Act.
