Karachi to Kolkata, big, fat live-streamed Indo-Pak wedding melts borders

Karachi resident Jaweria Khanum marries Kolkata businessman Sameer Khan, melting Indo-Pak borders in a winter wedding. The ceremony was live-streamed for Jaweria's Pakistani relatives who couldn't attend. Mehendi, haldi, baraat, nikah, and dawat were all part of the celebration. Sameer's relatives made up for Jaweria's absent family, and over 150 guests from UP attended. The couple had been waiting for four years due to the pandemic and visa delays. Traditional delicacies and a Mercedes-Benz gift added to the festivities.
