In Bengaluru, biker chases 74-yr-old, robs him of Rs 15k

A 74-year-old man was extorted by a miscreant in a mugging case involving a fake accident claim. The miscreant made the victim transfer money by scanning a QR code. The incident occurred in broad daylight on December 26, 2023, near Kittur Rani Chennamma Circle in Bengaluru. The victim, Akash, a retired bank employee, filed a complaint on January 5. The miscreant demanded Rs 1.5 lakh for the injured person's treatment and threatened Akash with a knife. Akash transferred Rs 5,000 and later another Rs 10,000 to the miscreant.
