Delhi HC asks YouTuber to remove ‘defamatory’ video on Ram Rahim
Thursday, 11 January 2024 The Delhi High Court has directed journalist and YouTuber Shyam Meera Singh to take down a defamatory video on Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh within 24 hours. The video contained material from a trial court judgment and a book by Anurag Tripathi, but lacked a disclaimer. The court granted the journalist the liberty to upload a new video with a disclaimer. The video, accessible globally by devotees, jeopardized Ram Rahim's right to a fair trial.
