SC frees Bengaluru girl from parents' illegal confinement

The Supreme Court criticizes the Karnataka high court for repeatedly adjourning the hearing on a habeas corpus petition filed by a Keralite man seeking the release of a 25-year-old Tamil girl who was illegally confined by her parents. The girl and her parents appeared before the court, and the judges ruled that the girl's continued detention is illegal.
