Inflation, unemployment to be main issues in Lok Sabha polls: HP Congress chief

The Congress will highlight inflation and unemployment as the two major issues in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, said the party's Himachal Pradesh unit chief Pratibha Singh on Saturday. In a press statement, she said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to provide employment to two crore people every year and it has proven to be a false promise.

On April 28, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to revise the content of its Lok Sabha campaign song to adhere to the Advertising Codes outlined in the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994, and ECI guidelines. The AAP was requested to make necessary modifications to the song and resubmit it for certification. “The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” showing an aggressive mob holding the photo of Arvind Kejriwal showing him behind bars, casts aspersions on the Judiciary.
