Lok Sabha elections in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh could potentially be held in the first week of April this year, Union minister G Kishan Reddy said.The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing for the polls, with Narendra Modi expected to become Prime Minister for the third time.Reddy, who is also the Telangana BJP president, referred to the previous election schedule in 2019 as a basis for this estimation.

On April 28, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to revise the content of its Lok Sabha campaign song to adhere to the Advertising Codes outlined in the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994, and ECI guidelines. The AAP was requested to make necessary modifications to the song and resubmit it for certification. “The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” showing an aggressive mob holding the photo of Arvind Kejriwal showing him behind bars, casts aspersions on the Judiciary.
