SC: Accused can't be convicted merely on ground of suspicion

IndiaTimes Saturday, 27 January 2024

The bench, comprising Justices B R Gavai and Sandeep Mehta, stated that the prosecution failed to establish the charges, and both the trial court and Chhattisgarh High Court erred in convicting the accused without direct evidence of guilt.
