LS Polls 2024: Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Lovely resigns, cites interference by leader | Oneindia

Arvinder Singh Lovely, the Delhi Congress chief, tendered his resignation on Sunday, citing significant interference by the party's general secretary in-charge and the contentious alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi. In his resignation letter addressed to Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Lovely expressed feeling "handicapped" and unable to effectively lead the Delhi Congress unit. Highlighting numerous instances of discord, Lovely outlined objections raised by several party leaders regarding the conduct of Deepak Babaria, the Congress's general secretary in-charge for Delhi. LS Polls 2024: Election Commission asks AAP to modify its Lok Sabha election campaign song| Oneindia

On April 28, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to revise the content of its Lok Sabha campaign song to adhere to the Advertising Codes outlined in the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994, and ECI guidelines. The AAP was requested to make necessary modifications to the song and resubmit it for certification. “The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” showing an aggressive mob holding the photo of Arvind Kejriwal showing him behind bars, casts aspersions on the Judiciary. Further, the said phrase appears several times in the advertisement which contravenes the provisions of ECI Guidelines and Rule 6(1(g) of Programme and Advertising Codes prescribed under the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994” (DISPLAY) said ECI. #LSPolls2024 #ElectionCommission #AAP #CampaignSong #ArvindKejriwal #Arrest #ECGuidelines #ModelCodeOfConduct #PoliticalCampaign #SongModification ~PR.152~ED.101~GR.125~HT.96~
