Invited to Karnataka event, UK writer Nitasha Kaul detained at Bengaluru airport, deported

London-based writer Prof Nitasha Kaul, an OCI cardholder, was deported from Bengaluru airport upon her arrival to attend Karnataka govt's conference on the Constitution. Deportation reasons remain unclear. She was detained in a holding cell for 24 hours with limited access to food and water. She was put back on a flight to London without a reason given.
