Lok Sabha polls: Congress unveils 5 guarantees each for 'Shramik Nyay' and 'Hissedari Nyay, promises caste census

The congress chief while announcing the guarantees said, "Under 'Hissedari Nyay', Congress guarantees a comprehensive social, economic and caste census." Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday announced another 5 guarantees each for 'Shramik Nyay' (Labour Justice) and 'Hissedari Nyay' (Participatory Justice), ahead of Lok Sabha polls. ​​The party also promised to increase reservation limits to 50% for SC, ST, and OBC through a Constitutional amendment.

On April 28, the Election Commission of India (ECI) directed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to revise the content of its Lok Sabha campaign song to adhere to the Advertising Codes outlined in the Cable Television Network Rules, 1994, and ECI guidelines. The AAP was requested to make necessary modifications to the song and resubmit it for certification. “The phrase “jail ke jawaab me hum vote denge” showing an aggressive mob holding the photo of Arvind Kejriwal showing him behind bars, casts aspersions on the Judiciary.
