EC directs state govts to remove all unauthorised political advertisements
Wednesday, 20 March 2024 The Electoral Commission (EC) has instructed state governments to promptly eliminate any unauthorized political advertisements from both public and private properties on Wednesday. All unauthorized political advertisements including graffiti, posters, pamphlets, cutouts, billboards, and banner flags must be removed from public spaces without delay, the EC directed. It has mandated that a compliance report be submitted by March 21.
