Wednesday, 27 March 2024 The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned TMC leader Mahua Moitra for questioning in a foreign exchange violation case. The agency asked the expelled MP to appear on March 28 for recording her statement under FEMA provisions. ED seeks to question Mahua once she appears before them. The case under scrutiny involves transactions linked to a non-resident external (NRE) account.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searched Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra's Kolkata residence in a cash-for-query case. This action followed the CBI's filing of a First Information Report (FIR) against Moitra. The Lokpal instructed the CBI to investigate the allegations and provide monthly updates on the progress.
