Terror hideout busted in J&K's Reasi; arms, explosives recovered
Saturday, 13 April 2024 () A terror hideout was discovered by security forces on Saturday in a joint operation by J-K police and Rashtriya Rifles in the Lancha area of Mahore sub-division in Reasi, police reported. Acting on a tip-off, officials found an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) inside a Tiffin box, along with two pistols. The operation was ongoing at the time of the latest updates.
Continuous heavy rainfall has battered numerous areas of Jammu and Kashmir, compelling the Union territory administration to take precautionary measures by closing schools across the Kashmir valley and Reasi district, as reported by officials. The persistent downpour in recent days has inflicted severe damage in various regions. Flash floods and landslides, triggered by the torrential rain, have affected parts of Poonch and northern Kashmir, resulting in damage to both public infrastructure and private property.
