Karnataka high court: Accused can say any time he was minor when crime took place

he Karnataka High Court has noted that an accused individual can assert their minority status at any point during the proceedings if they were underage at the time of the alleged offense. Consequently, the court has instructed the Juvenile Justice Board to review anew the case of a teenager accused of rape from Kampli in Ballari district. The teen is accused of sexually assaulting a minor residing in vicinity.
