Both guns used in Salman Khan house firing recovered from Tapi river
Tuesday, 23 April 2024 () The Mumbai crime branch, investigating the April 14 shooting incident at actor Salman Khan's residence, has now retrieved the second firearm, accompanied by two magazines holding a total of 17 bullets. These items were discarded by the purported assailants into the Tapi river in Surat, in an apparent bid to erase evidence. Earlier, the first gun was recovered from the same river on Monday.
Tragic news emerged as one of the two arms suppliers involved in the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's residence passed away while in police custody, according to sources. Anuj Thapan, aged 32, was apprehended from Punjab on April 26th. Shockingly, he reportedly took his own life in the early hours of the morning while in a police lock-up, having gone to use the restroom at 11 am. Thapan was among ten other inmates in the lock-up, with security provided by four to five policemen
