Saturday, 18 May 2024 () The Election Commission assures the Delhi High Court of preserving video footage for the Rampur Lok Sabha Constituency in Uttar Pradesh regarding EVMs as per protocol. Lawyer Mehmood Pracha, a poll contestant from Rampur, filed a petition seeking this direction. The EC follows guidelines for CCTV coverage and affirms preservation for 45 days post-polling.
The Seventh phase of the Lok Sabha Elections is underway as 57 seats across 8 states and union territories go to polls.
