IMD issued heatwave warning for 8 states including Saurashtra & Kutch, Gujarat Region, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, interior Karnataka, West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Kerala & Mahe. A heatwave is a prolonged period of excessively hot weather, typically characterized by high temperatures that persist for several days or weeks.
