Study reveals child care centres unlikely source for Covid-19 transmission

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 24 October 2023
A study led by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh found that children in child care centers do not spread Covid-19 significantly to caretakers or other children. The study suggests that testing and long exclusion periods for children in child care centers may be unnecessary and burdensome for families. The study also highlighted the importance of vaccinating young children against Covid-19 to reduce transmission in households.
