Are You Ready To Tune In.. To Nigel Farage?by

He’s arguably one of the most divisive people in British politics today – as the former leader of the UK Independence Party, Nigel Farage has been widely credited for helping to get Brexit off the ground. While it seems that the majority of people aren’t too fond on the former leader’s headline-grabbing sound bites (and trips to the local pub), quite a few still find him inspiring all the same – this must be the case, as it now appears that certain radio airwaves are to be populated by the regular sound of Farage hosting evening phone-ins.

LBC Radio, which has previously given airtime to former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg – who continues to act a Sheffield-based MP for the Liberal Democrats – is set to grant Nigel Farage a regular talk show on their station, where he has previously been given temporary airtime in the past. It’s thought that The Nigel Farage Show will run from Monday to Thursday evenings, and will encourage callers to join in lively debate with the outspoken politician. For many, it will be too good an opportunity to miss – and it may certainly bring in renewed interest for LBC Radio as a result.

Farage may no longer be in charge of UKIP, but he has remained a regular fixture in UK tabloids for the past twelve to eighteen months – he was at the forefront of the Brexit ‘leave’ campaign, and as a result has declared the referendum result as a victory of sorts. He famously declared on results day that it should be known as the UK’s Independence Day – however, such matters will have to sit on the back burner while Prime Minister Theresa May picks up the task of starting negotiations with the European Union. Farage, too, has attempted to steer proceedings – but has not been involved in any of the major decision-making that currently faces May.

Farage has recently been seen sharing podiums with US President-elect Donald Trump, who is due to take power on January 20th – and is said to have turned down the opportunity to appear on reality TV shows in the past. Love him, hate him or simply tolerate him, it’s unlikely that Nigel Farage will be going away any time soon – and if you want to tune in and find out what he has to say on world affairs on a regular basis, LBC Radio will be the place to turn to in the near future.
