London police probe vandalism of vehicle pollution cameras

IndiaTimes Friday, 18 August 2023
London police are investigating nearly 300 incidents of vandalism against cameras used in the city's Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) ahead of its expansion, announced for August 29. The scheme requires heavily polluting vehicles to pay a €12.50 toll for driving in the inner city. Labour mayor Sadiq Khan has been pushing for the expansion in the face of backlash from those living in and around the new zone.
