Scientists have noted that this year hurricanes have been rapidly intensifying as they approach coastlines more frequently than in the past. While it is difficult to attribute the rapid intensification of a single storm to climate change, studies have shown a connection between global warming and the trend of increased rapid intensification over many years and storms.
