No electors for next Pakistan president, Arif Alvi stays beyond term

Pakistan President Arif Alvi is continuing in office despite the completion of his five-year term due to the lack of an electoral college to elect a successor. As a founding member of the PTI party, Alvi has served the party well by promulgating ordinances and upholding their interests. If Alvi were to leave before a new president is elected, Senate chairman Sadiq Sanjrani would succeed him.
