'Epic scale': Thousands of Britons approached by Chinese agents, MI5 chief says

The head of MI5, Ken McCallum, has warned that Chinese state actors have targeted thousands of Britons on LinkedIn in an attempt to steal industrial and technological secrets. He estimated that 10,000 UK businesses were at risk from industrial espionage. McCallum also highlighted the activities of other nations such as Russia and Iran, emphasizing that they extend beyond government and military secrets to vital infrastructure.
