'Erratic' Hurricane Norma on track to hit Mexico's Baja California

Hurricane Norma is strengthening as it moves towards the southern tip of Mexico's Baja California peninsula. The storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds to popular tourist resorts in the area. The governor has urged people to stay indoors and businesses to close. Shelters have been set up to accommodate up to 10,000 people. The National Hurricane Center warns of dangerous conditions and possible flooding. Norma is located some 195 miles (314 km) south of Cabo San Lucas.
