Israel says tank fire 'accidentally' hit Egyptian post

IndiaTimes Sunday, 22 October 2023
The Israeli military has stated that one of its tanks accidentally fired and hit an Egyptian post near the Gaza border. The blast caused minor injuries, and both Israel and Egypt are conducting investigations into the incident. Egyptian media has reported that the Israeli strike will not disrupt the passage of aid to Gaza. Crossings between Gaza and Israel have been closed since the start of the conflict on October 7. The United Nations estimates that around 100 trucks per day are needed to meet the needs of Gaza.
