France's President Macron proposes that anti-Islamic State coalition fights Hamas
Tuesday, 24 October 2023 French President Emmanuel Macron has proposed expanding the international coalition fighting against Islamic State (IS) to include the fight against Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza. Macron stressed that France and Israel share terrorism as their "common enemy" during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He also warned against the risks of a regional conflict and emphasized that the fight against Hamas must be conducted with rules and without mercy.
