Hamas says 'ready' for Israel invasion of Gaza

Hamas has stated that it is prepared for an invasion of the Gaza Strip by Israel after air strikes have cut off communications in the area. Israel has announced that it is extending its ground operation in response. The military has significantly increased its strikes, leading to intense bombardment in northern Gaza. Hamas has responded with rocket fire. All internet connections and communications in Gaza have been cut, according to Hamas, who accused Israel of doing so to enable "massacres".
