Tuesday, 31 October 2023 Two South Korean police officers were stabbed outside the presidential office in Seoul by a 77-year-old man. The assailant began yelling in front of the compound and stabbed the officers as they tried to subdue him. One officer was stabbed in the stomach and the other in the left arm. Both officers are being treated in hospital, while the attacker was arrested at the scene. South Korea has experienced a series of stabbings this year.
