UN 'deeply concerned' as Israel sends Palestinian workers back to Gaza

IndiaTimes Friday, 3 November 2023
The UN has expressed concern as Israel begins sending back thousands of Palestinian workers to Gaza. The workers may not have homes to return to and face grave dangers from ongoing military clashes. Among those being sent back are workers and hospital patients who had been detained since October 7. The situation in Gaza is described as incredibly difficult and dangerous. COGAT, the Israeli defence body responsible for Palestinian civilian affairs, did not provide the number of Gazans who were working inside Israel on October 7.
