South Korea plans to launch its first military spy satellite on November 30

IndiaTimes Monday, 6 November 2023
South Korea is preparing to launch its first domestically built spy satellite at the end of November. The satellite is aimed at better monitoring North Korea, which has been expanding its nuclear weapons arsenal. South Korea currently relies on US spy satellites for surveillance of North Korea, but having its own spy satellites would provide an independent space-based surveillance system. South Korea plans to launch four more spy satellites by 2025.
