Pakistan election commission criticises President Alvi for making inappropriate moves ahead of Feb 8 elections

Pakistan's election commission has accused President Arif Alvi of inappropriate behavior after he supported concerns raised by Imran Khan's party about a fair playing field in the upcoming general elections. Alvi, a founding member of PTI, has been accused of siding with the jailed prime minister's party on political issues. The Election Commission of Pakistan expressed discontent over the president's move, stating that it could cast doubt on the transparency of the elections.
