A British convert to Islam, Aine Leslie Davis, has been sentenced to eight years in prison in the UK after pleading guilty to terrorism charges. Davis, who was convicted in Turkey for being part of the Islamic State group, had been deported from Turkey after serving a seven-and-a-half-year sentence. Prosecutors stated that Davis had a firearm for terrorism purposes and had funded terrorism. Davis had been suspected of being part of the IS cell known as "The Beatles" that tortured and killed Western hostages in Syria.
