Cameron return aims to help win over moderates

IndiaTimes Monday, 13 November 2023
British PM Rishi Sunak has appointed David Cameron, the former prime minister who campaigned to remain in the EU, in a move to signal that the Conservatives are not lurching to the right. The decision to bring back Cameron and fire interior minister Suella Braverman, a prominent supporter of leaving the EU, has been seen as a risky strategy. Sunak has been trying to keep all wings of the party happy and portray himself as a tough decision-maker. However, the party still lags behind Labour in the polls.
