Xi, Biden agree to restart high-level military-to-military talks

IndiaTimes Thursday, 16 November 2023
Chinese leader Xi Jinping urged US President Joe Biden to stop arming Taiwan and support China's peaceful reunification. However, the two leaders agreed to restart high-level military-to-military talks and establish joint government talks on artificial intelligence and counternarcotics cooperation. They also committed to increasing scheduled passenger flights between the two countries. Xi emphasized that China did not seek to surpass or unseat the United States but warned against US actions that hurt China's interests and curbed its development in science and technology.
